Thursday, November 17th

Good evening, super-star 1st/2nd parents! I hope you are having a wonderful November so far!

Coming Up:

Sunday, November 20th, 11 am: Harvest Dinner at Faith Baptist Church

Classroom Thanksgiving Celebration: Tuesday, November 22nd, 2:00 pm. We will be doing a fun activity based on the book "Thanksgiving on Thursday", enjoying some pumpkin pie and sparkling cider, and watching the movie, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". (If your child needs a dietary alternative to the pie and/or cider, please send it with them on this day, thank you!).

*If you would like to donate to our Thanksgiving Classroom Party we could use: pumpkin pie, whipped cream, sparkling apple cider, and cups. Thank you!!!

We have been learning about informative writing, givings thanks to the Lord, working with two tens frames (first grade), double-digit addition (second-grade), graphing, and we even had time for a fun STEM activity in which the students transported goldfish crackers only using a straw (no touching)! It was a hoot!

The next week is going to be a short week, so there will not be any tests. We will do reading activities based around popular Thanksgiving books and some "turkey math". We will review the math concepts we have been learning. We will have lots of fun learning going on!
