Important Dates Coming Up:
Sunday, April 16th, Easter Sunday at Faith Baptist Church. Breakfast at 9:30 am, service at 11, followed by Easter-Egg Hunt. Please let Rosemary know if your child would like to sing during the service.
Monday, May 1st: Field Trip to Hamptons Senior Center: 10:00 am (I will need chaperones that can also be drivers for this, please let me know if you are available).
Tuesday, May 9th: Lunch with Moms andGrandmas. 11:55-12:30, (Save the date, details to come!)
Saturday, May 13th: Sonshine Dinner and Auction (details to come!)
Monday, May 22nd: Zoo Field Trip (I will be needing drivers and chaperones, please let me know if you are interested).

Coming Up in Reading:
First Grade;
Second Grade:
In math, first grade will wrap up studying about time and start two-dimensional shapes and equal shares. Second grade will finish their chapter in subtracting three-digit numbers. Both groups will focus on measurement and time in math centers. In social studies, we will study being a responsible citizen and what we can do to take care of nature and the Earth. In science, we will continue to focus on animals that lay eggs and work on our class book! We will also study conservation.

We had a fun chapel filled with worship and praise!
We had a very special visit from some animals that lay eggs! Dante's chickens! The class had lots of questions and Mr. Bruce and Dante were happy to answer them! What a fun surprise!
And we earned our Movie Party! We watched a movie called, "All Creatures Great and Small" which was a fun story about some animals boarding Noah's ark!
