Important dates coming up:
Thursday, March 2nd: Dr. Seuss's birthday! We will celebrate with fun activities in reading!
***This is Read-Across-America Week! If you signed up to be a MYSTERY READER and would still like to do this, please let me know! (Even if you didn't express an interest before, we would love to have you!!!) If you could make it in this week, that would be great! If you can't make it in this week, but sometime soon, let me know and we will arrange a time. The ideal time is when the kiddos have their read-aloud time after lunch (12:35), but we are flexible and will make it work for you! You can bring in your own book, maybe your child's favorite book, or I can supply a book. Contact me if you are up for this! Thank you so much!!!
Friday, March 3rd: 100 Days of School! We will celebrate with fun activities during math. If your child would like to share a collection of 100 things, that would be fantastic! It is totally optional, but would be a fun at-home project to do. The objects could be pasted or taped onto something, or put into a container (like a bag or ziplock). I have sent a letter regarding this via email and will send a hard copy home on Monday. Let me know if you have any questions.
Monday, March 20th: Class Chapel Presentation, 10:00 am.
Thursday, March 23rd: Early Release/ Preview Night
Friday, March 24th: Student-Led Conferences
***We will start collecting things for our Spring Auction basket! Donations from you will help us create an awesome auction basket!
Our theme will be MOVIE-NIGHT!!! Some items to donate would be: movie tickets/gift cards to the movie, movie snack items like candy and popcorn, etc., family-friendly DVDS, and any movie-themed knick-knacks or collectibles. Here is an example of what I would like us to put together:
